Dog of the Week: Border Collie

Border Collies! Ah! So fluffy, so sweet, so excited…this are the reasons why it is elected as the Dog of the Week!

Origin

The Border Collie was originally originated in Scotland, plus the word ‘Collie’ is a Scotch word that basically describes sheep dogs! And because the Border Collie was thrived in the edge region, it was named the Border Collie!

Appearance

Not all Border Collie dogs are black and white, or have floppy ears.

The Border Collie’s appearance is commonly black and white, or brown and white, fur too!

Not all of them have floppy ears or evenly black fur or brown fur on each side of them. A Border Collie’s whole face can be brown or black! They can have brown noses, too, and one big patch of black or brown fur can be on one ear, also!

Bonus: Some Border Collie’s have the black or brown replaced with reddish coats!

Some Border Collies have straight ears while others have floppy ones.

The eye color of the Border Collie can be the shades of brown into dark brown into light gold, otherwise they are blue. The red-coated Border Collies are most likely to have lighter brown eyes.

Personality

It might be blurry…because he is quick!

The Border Collie tremendously intelligent and tremendously teachable. They are vastly sparkling, running for exercise, and they need adequate heed, (enough attention), if you want to keep a Border Collie!

With the help of their energy, they make great sheepdogs and great working dogs. They get along with kids and other pets, such as cats, with their great obedience.
