Welcome to the Adopt-a-Cat page, where you can find a cat up for adoption, or at a foster home waiting for a forever family: YOU!
Before you scroll down, we REQUEST you not to judge a cat by a condition it might have, its age, or its gender. Wanting a male cat or female cat is perfectly fine, but judging it isn’t. We will provide the cat’s information and backstory, then give the link to the website you can reserve and adopt it. Let’s get started!
Note: Some cats might be out of town, but we will put them here anyway. Your choice if you want to adopt it or not!
Also note all these cats are in a website called Petfinder in the AARF family.
ALSO NOTE that this page consists 10-12 cats up for adoption until they are adopted. Updated once every week!

Meet Clementine!
About Clementine:
Gender: Female
Breed: Persian Mix
Size: Small
Age: Fourteen years old last time checked
Characteristics: Independent, gentle, quiet
House-Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations are up-to-date, spayed/neutered, special needs
Prefers a home:
without children, animals, and other cats and dogs
Clementine is a senior and her previous owners died in September 2021. Clementine was in bad health when BARCS took her in, and the AARF family quickly helped out. Clementine was adopted but was quickly returned. Right now, her foster mom has renewed her health and now Clementine is ready at last for a caring fur-ever home!
Clementine likes being treated like the Queen, so here’s the ‘special treatment’:
– Look but don’t touch a lot: Clementine doesn’t mind a good pat on the head or a short carry, but most of the time it’s ‘PAWS-ON-GROUND-AT-ALL-TIMES-THANK-YOU-VERY-MUCH!’. Also, petting below the halfway-point down her back will earn you a good, long CHOMP! on the hand.
– A Lone Cat: Clementine doesn’t mind being alone; in fact, she demands it.
– Picky: Clementine demands the highest-quality canned cat food or treats!
– A Good Grooming: Clementine wants to look her best as Queen.
Clementine will love you very much if you meet her wants, but needs are even more important! A monthly shot for her arthritis, and she has hyperthyroidism, a condition where poor coats, loss of appetite, and loss of weight takes place. Give Clementine the best care you can and you don’t have to fret!

Meet Freedom!
About Freedom:
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair Mix
Size: Small
Age: Unknown, but a senior
Characteristics: Loving, playful, active
House-Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations are up-to-date, spayed/neutered, special needs
Good in a home:
with other cats, dogs, and children
Um, okay. So…Freedom is a very nice black cat, don’t get me wrong. At four years old, his life was pretty harsh. And…he was diagnosed with rectal stricture, which means he can’t…do feces properly. It was fixed funny, but still remained a bit.
Okay, okay, don’t be disgusted! Everyone does that…thing. But Freedom here has that condition…like permanent diarrhea, you see? To put it in a more-appropriate way.
Now, see how nice I’m being? When I clicked on this cat, I saw his description and my first thought was, ‘Maybe don’t put him here.‘. Then I had a second thought, ‘No! The first thing you literally typed on the page was ‘don’t judge cats’.‘.
Now let’s move on to Freedom’s good side. He’s a loyal friend, a petite cat who is only five pounds at adult age, he’s very playful, and socializes easily!

Size: Small
Age: Unknown, but young
Characteristics: Affectionate
House-Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations are up-to-date, spayed/neutered.
Good in a home:
with other cats, dogs, and children
Amy is a lovely young cat who was a barn cat until her farmer owner passed away. Amy is a unique kitty: she’s blind. But her affection hasn’t been affected by her disability; being a former barn cat gave Amy the love for dogs, other cats, and animals.
Despite her disability, Amy has good litterbox manners and loves going on the catio to smell and hear the birds and squirrels. But keep in mind, if you adopt Amy she needs to get used to the house layout!

Glitter is a lovely kitty with heart murmur, and requires monitoring from a cardiologist throughout her life. Her care will be a little more expensive than the average cat, but still, Glitter is just amazing!
She was rescued off the streets when she was in her feral cat days, but she’s an exceedingly energetic, friendly girl. She loves giving head-butts, and is an easy-going cat to take care of.

Meet the BlueBerry brothers! One is Blue and one is Berry, and together, they make BlueBerry!
Blue and Berry can be a bit bashful, but only because they are cautious and want to make sure you aren’t noisy or mean to them. As soon as they get to know you, they’ll meow and will chase each other and will want to make you LAUGH!
You CAN’T separate Blue and Berry – they won’t allow it. So, if you’ve always wanted two playful entertaining cat clowns, Blue and Berry are the kitties for you!

Meet Kirk (from the Stars Hollow Litter)!
About Kirk:
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair Mix
Size: Medium
Age: Unknown, but young
Characteristics: Affectionate, friendly
House-Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations are up-to-date
Good in a home with
other cats
Prefers a home without
children
At first sight, Kirk looks like a perfect black cat with citrine eyes and a bushy black tail. But there’s more to Kirk than his beauty.
Kirk is looking for a fur-ever home. He uses the litter box A LOT, but he’s not like Freedom, don’t worry. (Not saying Freedom is bad or anything!).
His funny antics will keep you smiling and laughing and he loves to rest on radiators and socialize with other kitties. His squeaky ball and cat dancer keeps him going, and Kirk loves telling you about his day!
Kirk is a little bashful and cautious. He hates sudden loud noises – such as vacuum cleaners or ice makers – and he’s not a lap, laid-back cat. He shouldn’t go to a home with young children. If you want to adopt Kirk, you’ll need a LOOOTTTT of patience, but Kirk is totally worth it!

Meet Condie!
About Condie:
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair Mix (Tuxedo)
Size: Small
Age: Unknown, but a senior
Characteristics: Friendly, independent, affectionate
House-Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations are up-to-date, spayed/neutered, special needs
Prefers a home without
other cats or pets
Condie had the purr-fect fur-ever home when things took a turn for the worse. Her owner got very sick and they were both very sad that they had to part ways.
Condie is in a nice foster home, minus the abundance of noise and pets. Condie is a senior who wants her peace and quiet.
Her wants:
– A soft but firm mew for cuddles
– A stroll around the house
– Lapping Hydra Care kitty soup
– Gazing outside the window
– Sleeping with her human.
Condie is gaining arthritis, so her joints are stiff, and her kidneys are worn. Her foster mom says that Condie is a good patient and that she’d be happy to show you how to take care of them.
Condie is not aggressive towards other cats – she just hisses and walks away. So, if you’re interested…

Biscuit is a young female tabby cat mix who has been with the AARF family for most of her life. She loves attention but might take some time to warm up to you, and she loves a good scratch on the chin or a pat on the head.
Biscuit is very loyal and social, and she HATES being alone. A few calm cats like her are good; no crazy kittens that run around her endlessly in circles.
She likes to bat around with toys and only eats wet food. Biscuit is as sweet as her name, she just needs a chance.

Meet Rooster!
About Rooster:
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Size: Medium
Age: Unknown, but young
Characteristics: Playful, curious, funny
House-Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations are up-to-date, spayed/neutered

children (young children, to be specific).
Rooster looks like a normal black cat at first sight: no special markings, extra toes, or a missing leg. Just a ‘regular’ cat.
Yeah, right…NO! Don’t judge a cat by its looks, conditions, or gender (if you didn’t properly read the top of the page, scroll up there NOW!!!)!
Rooster is a cat clown, not aggressive, just full of life and himself! When he’s not spending quality time with his humans, Rooster is off gallivanting somewhere – probably consisted of scratching your furniture or patrolling his new fur-ever home!
Rooster is a high-energy feline, so older children and high-energy cats would probably do for him. Do You Have Questions, Want to Adopt Rooster, or More?
